So, how did everyone find today?

Some great driving out there after it dried up a bit.

Some rather rash piloting too though, isn't that right Bibby...? :p haha

Barry, was it you that told me about putting the rachet strap on the tire? Very good idea, and worked a treat.. Nice one.

Such a crowd today, was not expected at all, hence the chaos in the pits!! Sorreeeee:confused: but got a bit of a system goin and i think it helped a bit. Id like to be the first to point and laugh at both Bibby and Liam,i may have drivin like a ballbag, but the car was able to drive home in perfect condition!:D:D

My car could of driven home too, except for the fact I had another car with a trailer there, plus cracking the wing mount intercooler gives me more reason to fit a front mount one! I could do with more power! Was not raging about hitting the car, I was more angry that I done it when I was going well

Thats always the way though Bibby..

Sure look how well wee Dee was going before his off in the 33... Linking the 2 hair-pins and getting plenty of smoke.. All he needs is a cage and he'll be UDC material without a doubt :D

Got there late, first time i drove there and onto the track, I was hesitant at first but all came good. I drove home with 1 set of wheels in the boot not even done, they'll do for the next track day.

OOops sorry about that. Got carried away at the end and rearranged
the quarter again.
The track was a better layout at the top corner allowing to keep the slide
on. was a good day.
Dunno 1st ....
2nd Cossie-power ( top runner again) well done

Was a great day again, but would rather have the early start, it run on very late...

It didn't OVER run at all though. We managed to stay bang on time, despite the midway mayhem in the pits (now cured). I can certainly make it finish earlier, say 8pm, but for anyone who says that they prefer the earlier start..... when have you ever seen 42 cars there before??? And that's with some being turned away.

42 is the maximum btw, so you are guaranteed a certain amount of track time, as long as you arrive with a car that runs! :p

This event was a vast improvement over the first Amateur Drift competition and I have plans on how to make further improvements for the next one.

Also, for the first time we pulled in a car and removed his track pass. You all know which one. The driver was given every opportunity to put the car right but we won't allow one individual to lower the standard of the whole event. His attitude was stinking anyway, which is also not the norm. Most guys are so happy at the opportunity to take part in the event that they are only too willing to make whatever changes we ask them to.

A few drivers were told to quieten their exhaust before the next event and each were totally fine about it. Cool.

I do have to commend everyone on the overall standard of cars and of driving. Top notch.... except for Bibby!:o:D

What is this the pick on bibby part of the forum, at least I have the balls to take out what was supposed to be a road car for me and try! And try I did, it put a smile on my face and gave the paying supporters something to watch,
Did not enjoy being out with brian Wilton in the qualifying, put a he'll off alot of pressure on and weight on my shoulders, but in fairness I guess it was better for me being out against someone far better than myself as opposed to someone who was worse, and there worse than me there!
Great days craic, and have decided the 14a is going to be an out and out track car from now on so watch this space for improvements and modifications!

Ps Wayne I want a cage , and I NEED dodgem style bumper bars LOL

Nicky

I fixed that for ya there Bibby ;) hahahaha

Out and out track car? You want me to drop this diff off this week to Wilty then when we go down to get Timmy's motor? Means its just a direct replacement job for ya, and no real down time ;)

Pete
24-05-09, 11:43 PM
Yeah you NEED to get that diff. sorted Bibby,it will make the car a far easier drivin thing!

bibby
24-05-09, 11:59 PM
indeed i agree also as it made a world of difference to the very underpowered rx7 i had! so mods before the next time will be a front mount, bumper held on by cableties and a slippy diff

Good day alrite, didnt get as much track time as the last time probably due to the unexpected number of cars!

Was the small straight (from bottom corner to top corner bit) shortend??
Felt alot better been able to make it up in one slide, nice work!

The bottom bend was extended to allow the track to flow better. A result of the spin I took round the track myself in the Liner through the week. Research! :p :D
