Jack Frost ended up with a time of 8.9 seconds at the end of the day, and although I dont think that's during the official scoring rounds, its still an awesome run. How he keeps that thing straight is beyond me...

Some cars getting well in excess of 20 runs, others only doing a few, but thats all down to the drivers not queing up straight away and dilly-dallying around the pits, but thats all part of the process...

Well done to those that came away with trophies, and for those that didnt, up the boost a bit :D

Great day out. Perfect weather. Organisation was good wayne. I was one of the one's ****e hawking around the pit's. I made a welder out of 2 car battery's a vice grip's, jump lead's and found 3 welding rod's in the jeep. Thank's to John for his sunglasses. Great welding shield!!!
Still put the car out after all that bull, and done a 12.5sec run. Won't forget the welder next time.

Great day, I got loads of runs and although I didnt get all my slips (think someone got their numbers mixed up and got mine by mistake) I was able to see all my timed runs on the computer so seen how bad I was sometimes lol. After all my slabbering the drift/drag combination worked well, the breaks were good for cool downs and checking over the cars, well done once again Wayne and the rest of the team.

Begining to see how the mighty 1332cc engined Starlet is not the ideal drag car, all the 2000cc + boosted cars just slap it about from about half way up the strip. But I love it so it has to stay.

Well done to everyone who ran, some great times put in through all classes

Gary is my hero!!!!!

Cheers guys. Tough day behind the scenes and not without its hitches but some very valuable members of our crew helped make it possible. Rain elsewhere certainly hurt the attendance a tad but the action on the day was second to none. Well done to everyone that participated and congrats to the prize winners. John's 9.8 was a milestone and Jack's 8.9 was mental! We can look forward to more multi-discipline events in the future ;)

Anyone know where there is a Delorian:ct:

Can I just add, for safety precautions, That what I done the last day was Dangerous. I shorted out 2 car batterys. Highly explosive, but I'm very experienced in arc and mig welding even though that was the 1st time I ever tried it. Don't try it for the craic.

I would imagine its because its awfull hard to gain lost ground on only 4 points a place.
It will be pretty tough for you to catch sean if not impossible, on only 4 rounds in a season.

wayne
16-06-10, 11:57 AM
@ Ruairi

Not reverting back to last year's set-up. This year is better, with the RWYB events in between championship rounds enabling us to experiment with different classes and interesting match-ups. Such as the upcoming Supra Vs Skyline event.

The drop score system is where all drivers must drop their lowest scoring round of the season. If you have missed a round then that is your drop score already taken care of and you do not have to drop any points.

The extra round will enable us to include a drop score (4 rounds is too few for 1 drop score) which is always good for the overall competition. The extra round is one that was due to be a RWYB event, on 1st Aug. The drop score will accommodate anyone who cannot attend due to the rescheduling of this championship round.

That would just be tacky.

Get them tops, but shorts that make it look like their backside is so hungry its eating the shorts

Try here for them..... www.getthembucked.co.uk/munterswithholestodiefor.

I think the extra round to facilitate a drop score is a great idea. It takes the chance of someone losing the Championship, due to something as simple as having a breakdown on the way there, or a commitment that ment they could not attend.

Is there still the double points round this year?

wayne
20-06-10, 10:36 PM
Yes John, final round is double points.

You've hit the nail on the head about the drop score btw :)
