We are just off the back of a successful start to the Bishops Court winter series of events, with this relatively low key affair heralding the return of low budget circuit racing to Bishops Court. The spectator crowd included about 100 racers there to spy on the opposition.
Based upon the cars I have lined up to fit roll cages in, this series is going to really take off. We even have some of the country’s top Drifters crossing over to Test their METAL!!! I’ll not mention names for now… but all I gotta say is … Who in the UDC pulls the biggest angles and burns the most Smoke??? His initials are not BM and neither are his brother’s!
Our 2 MR2′s were out just on a Demo, yet still managed 2nd , 1st and 2nd in the Touring Car class. No.20 MR2 is now sold. Black No.21 is available for sale either as it sits (£800) or fully prep’d (£1100)
From 4th Dec (Round 2) we will have this offer…
We are now running TRACK, RACE + DRIFT days…
* Track Day sessions on NEW 1.7 mile race track.
* Drift Sessions on X-Track as usual
* PLUS the new budget Racing Series!!!
Standard cars (no cage, etc) can run in Track Day + Drift sessions.
Fully prep’d cars can run in all 3 sections.
***£50 entry fee covers all!***
Car Requirements:
Track Day + Drift Sessions __ Standard Car (Harness seatbelt for Driver & Passenger RECOMMENDED), Helmet essential
Racing _______ Full roll cage, Harness, Extinguisher, single layer Race Suit, Helmet… All ESSENTIAL.
Word on the grapevine is that there are a lot of cars in the building process for this new series, both as standard (Touring) cars and in the GT/Modified Class.
The OPEN Class stands to gain some very interesting entries as the Grassers tune into our new series.
These lads are used to a track approx 3 – 400 metres around. The new Bishops Court track is ***1.7 MILES*** around, making each 4 lap race 6.8 Miles!
This new incarnation of a combined Drifting & Circuit Racing event seems to be a comfortable fit.
The mixture of action proved great for spectators and also provided drivers with a fresh alternative to what they are used to. I fully expect to see drivers crossing over from one discipline to the other to try their skills against fresh opposition.
I will certainly be looking forward to getting back out there myself and looking for another win!
